Last Friday I went to watch a ballet based on the story of Don Quixote. Afterwards, I went to meet a friend at a club nearby. I spent all of Friday morning trying to decide what to wear. I didn’t want to look like a skank at the ballet, and I also didn’t want to dress overly formal or wear something too expensive to go to a club. According to Answers.com, the general rule of thumb is to dress based on the price of the ticket. My seat usually sells for $150, but I got my ticket for $30 (yeah for DanceBreak!). So do I dress for a $150 ticket or a $30 ticket? Is there an outfit that I could wear that would be acceptable to both? Also, it was raining all day Friday, so I changed my mind from wearing a dress to wearing jeans. I changed my outfit 5 times and this is what I ended up wearing.
