Nova Scotia’s south shore is a major tourist attraction when visiting Halifax. The south shore is approximately an hour away from downtown Halifax, but its only about 40 km (25 miles) from the city due to the slow speed limits on the highways.
First stop: Peggy’s Cove. A small community with a population of about 46. Rumoured to be named after Peggy, the sole survivor of a ship wreck once upon a long time ago. The lighthouse is one of the most-photographed structures in Atlantic Canada. The weather was great when we were there, but the clouds started to roll in after we left.

One of my favourite stories from childhood, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, produced into a ballet! The production is a co-production between The National Ballet of Canada and The Royal Ballet. The World premiere was earlier this year in London, UK, and North American premiere was at the beginning of this month in Toronto. It was interesting to see them use different effects to make Alice appear to be shrinking and growing larger. The ending was not the same as the version I was familiar with. I loved every minute of it!! Unfortunately my date was falling asleep.

I’ve been coveting leopard print items after seeing it on a couple of other bloggers, check out The Little Dust Princess and Cute and Little. I thought…it must be an easy item to find! I checked Forever 21 and H&M…nothing. I didn’t check too many other stores because I didn’t want to spend more than what a scarf would cost at those stores (namely Forever 21 and H&M store pricing). Surprisingly, I found it at Simon’s in Montreal, on sale for $12.99.
